  • Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System

I wanted to share this information about the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System just in case people have not been aware of it.

It is thought that only 10% of the events that happen have then been followed up with a report to this sytem. This can include any strong changes (especially in a child) after a vaccine, or, worse, if death happens that was likely due to a recent vaccine.

Each vaccine is taxed 75 cents to cover the cost of the reimbursements. I heard that it might be around $50,000, which is not much compensation for lifetime injuries or disabilities.

VAERS is a passive reporting system, meaning it relies on individuals to send in reports of their experiences. Anyone can submit a report to VAERS, including parents and patients.

Healthcare providers are required by law to report to VAERS:

Any adverse event listed in the VAERS Table of Reportable Events Following Vaccination that occurs within the specified time period after vaccinations
An adverse event listed by the vaccine manufacturer as a contraindication to further doses of the vaccine

Healthcare providers are strongly encouraged to report to VAERS:

Any adverse event that occurs after the administration of a vaccine licensed in the United States, whether it is or is not clear that a vaccine caused the adverse event
    Vaccine administration errors

Vaccine manufacturers are required to report to VAERS all adverse events that come to their attention.

Another study found that an estimate of only 1% of qualified vaccine-related illness and death being reported to VAERS. They have paid out $50billion in recompense. This suggests that the full submission of cases could have resulted in $5trillion being paid in compensations. However, it is likely that some of the cases were less severe and might not be compensated so much.

There are related deaths. Less severe reactions were seizures, temporary paralysis, stomach pains, high fevers, loss of speaking ability (taking a year or two to regain) and many more.
