Don’t get me wrong, I never have nor will I ever engage in the practice I mentioned. But I’ll need to cut a lot of onion to shed tears about groups like that. Thankfully they’re an irrelevant minority.

I’m not fond of violent activism in general. It almost never achieves its goal.

I think our best example of non-violent activism was when a local drug store (again, way back in the early 70's) put a brand new magazine rack near the checkout counters, and it was filled with Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler and worse.

Several of us from our Church went to the drug store and asked to speak to the manager. We very politely explained that we didn't think the new magazine rack was good for, or consistent with, the values of our community, and asked him to take it down.

To our surprise, he said, "it will be gone before morning".

Stunned, we asked "that EASY?"

He explained - my boss made me put it there against my objections, and I asked him "If I have even ONE COMPLAINT, can I take it down?" And the Boss said yes, but it has to be a complaint from the community, not from in the store.

Ya never know - sometimes ya just gotta ask!

That would assume that you actually knew the person and where they worked. And what if you were mistaken in your identification?

Personally, I'm not a big fan of doxxing or similar practices.

To be clear, we never did anything more than just be there. Heck, we didn't even have film for the camera*.

*that was on purpose, in case the film ever got subpoenaed or otherwise abused.

I am not referring to the laws. There are standards of morals and ethics that are as important as laws. and yes legally he could wear the KKK hood, but nonetheless . . .
