    Outright lie, there, TrumpJr.

The implication your making is that Arbery shouldn't have been there because he's black.
Yet another outright lie. You're making Trump look like Honest Abe.

          • For those not afraid to deviate from the liberal narrative, and for some added context, there is bodycam footage from the Glynn County Police Department for the incident I referred to several times, and on which nobody commented.

I had portrayed the incident as police harassment of Arbery, because that what the family attorney claimed. Watching the video, however, it appears Arbery can be quite confrontational, and had already had a run-in with the law here. I bring this up, because the question was asked, something to the effect, "why would he think it would be unsafe to be in that neighborhood".

WARNING -- LOTS OF F-BOMBS, as the video is the ACTUAL RECORDING from the bodycam.

Exclusive: Police tried to tase Ahmaud Arbery in 2017 incident, video shows

I have no doubt that the Liberal Narrative Squad will not watch the entire video, and my intent is NOT in any way to show that Arbery deserved to be killed, because I have CLEARLY said he did NOT, and the actors in this situation were 'bad actors'.

Here was the family lawyer's depiction of the incident....

In a joint statement to the Guardian, lawyers working for the Arbery family described the video as a clear depiction of “a situation where Ahmaud was harassed by Glynn county police officers”.

The lawyers said there was “no justifiable reason” for Arbery to be threatened with a Taser. “This appears to be just a glimpse into the kind of scrutiny Ahmaud Arbery faced not only by this police department, but ultimately regular citizens like the McMichaels and their posse, pretending to be police officers.”

            A) I'm really don't think it was necessary to pull the taser, because that second officer approached the scene not knowing what all had happened so far. His justification was that he saw a bulge, or wallet or something, and he thought Arbery was reaching for it ---- questionable at best, but the taser didn't fire.
            2) They state this "only a glimpse of the scrutiny Arbery faced" (by this department and others)
            C) The justification for the PD to approach him was because the car was parked "way back" in the park, in the sun, and this was an area where drug deals were frequent.

            Further...

Arbery was placed on probation in 2013 for carrying a gun at a high school basketball game and then charged with shoplifting and violating his probation in 2018, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Arbery’s attorneys have said those charges have nothing to do with his killing.

So, I can already hear the Liberal Narrative Squad yelling "you're just trying to put the blame on Arbery" --- no, I was looking into the question asking why Arbery should think this neighborhood might be dangerous to him.

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION WHATSOEVER for Arbery being killed. ZERO, ZIP, NADA!

              • AND.... from the same link in my prior post.....

I had mentioned corruption in the police department...

The Glynn county police department was already facing local political pressure to disband before the Arbery shooting due to a string of recent corruption scandals.

In March the department’s police chief and three high ranking officers were indicted on perjury charges related to allegations they ignored evidence that an officer from the department was consorting with a local drug dealer.

The department was forced to disband a specialist narcotics department in 2019 after an investigator was found to have had sex with two confidential informants. The department found evidence of the misconduct in 2017 but failed to investigate. In 2018 the department lost certifications with two law enforcement bodies, the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement.

Sounds like SERIOUS reforms need to happen there, and SOON!

It is a different situation in the US than it is here in Denmark, but in general I let minorities speak for themselves. They understand their own issues far better than I do.

Again, the VAST MAJORITY of people I deal with during the week are minorities - mostly blacks. The vast majority on Sundays, are white.

It's interesting, though, because the leadership of the blacks I deal with are very much into "personal responsibility", and hammer that home every weekday morning at breakfast. The main leader of the group had been a Pastor in New Orleans, where it was not unusual for members of his church to be shot and killed in drive-bys, drug deals gone bad, revenge killings....

Finally, his church was destroyed by Katrina, and he moved here to help run the shelter.

Personally, I think the term 'virtue signalling' is the rough equivalent of calling someone who reports a crime a 'rat'. Why? Because it is a direct effort to stop people from trying to stand with what is right and what is good. Someone speaks up about a wrong - they are 'virtue signalling'.

I have never understood why people try to discourage other people from standing up for or doing what is good and right.
My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

CP's just trying to say that unlike himself, liberals have no integrity.

An eye-opening video. Seeing how belligerent and confrontational Arbery was with the police, it's hard so see him as scared and desperate when confronted by the McMichaels, which is the argument some have given for why he attacked a man armed with a shotgun. It certainly puts this case in a different light.

AND, NO, I AM NOT SAYING THAT THE ACTIONS AGAINST HIM WERE JUSTIFIED! (I wish I didn't have to keep saying that, but some of you guys... )

Defending oneself has nothing to do with whether you are scared or not.

With respect to you and CP, the above is what is called protesting too much. If you are not saying that the actions against him were justified, then what the heck have you been arguing about?

Not at all. It's a necessary disclaimer given the repeated false accusations from you, ox, DivineBoob, Chuck, etc.

My whole point is trying to put to rest the "jogging while black" narrative that reared its ugly head at the prompting of liberals. The McMichaels pursued Arbery because he was observed trespassing, and he was shot as a result of his attempts to wrestle the shotgun away from one of the men (an action that is less surprising to me now that I've seen the bodycam video). To date, there is not a lick of evidence that any of the actions taken against him were because of the color of his skin.
