Safe or reasonably safe? It will never be completely safe.

When people have been isolated for months now... stress filled months of worry, they long for fellowship and spiritual renewal. That is why they want to go to church. It is just as important for our spirits as AA is to alcoholics, or a hospital is for your body.

I certainly have found that worship at home tends to be empty. Somehow worship needs to be done in a group.

Everything else like teaching, prayer, Bible reading, etc. is going fine.

The MAIN reason worship needs to be done in a group, IMOHBAO, is the way God designed the Church. We are all gifted by the Holy Spirit (as HE will) with spiritual gifts to benefit the body. When we are not "in church", we are not there to share the spiritual gift God has given us for the body.

For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, I am in their midst. It's about community of like minded people. Although, being omnipresent, God would be in their midst at home alone as well.

Wow, Jim, you and I have amen'd each other more than once lately! This CANNOT continue!

Hebrews 10 is where we find the instruction....

    Scripture Verse: Hebrews 10

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

This is an "in person" thing, and is hard to do apart from each other.

Aside from the fact that that passage is referring to church discipline and bringing brothers to repentance, and is often misused, it is true that God is present with me even when I'm by myself.
