    Trump Disinformation Campaign

This article is a must read for anyone seeking to stop Trump from securing office a second time. It is about the billion dollar campaign being waged to spread disinformation. This is a campaign being waged by the Trump campaign to "flood the zone" with disinformation and continue the erosion of the media that Trump has been engaged in since he first announced his candidacy.

Like flooding the zone with the Russian hoax?

IMO, Trump brought "the Russian Hoax" on himself. Mueller was tasked to determine if there was Russian interference in the 2016 election - which he determined existed. So "Russia" was not a hoax. However, it was clear that their interference was to put their thumbs of the scale in favor of Trump, leaving open the question "did Trump know and was he involved?" Trump threw every obstacle possible at the investigation and did everything he could to undermine it, raising the question "what is he hiding?" Given Trump's history of malfeasance and corruption, and he numerous connections found between Russia and the Trump campaign, plus Trump's business interests in Russia, it was a valid question.

And Mueller was clear: he did not find enough evidence to push forward with an accusation, and he wouldn't have pushed forward anyway if he had because of the DOJ posture on indicting a sitting president. He was also clear that his report was not intended to "exonerate" Trump. He left it to Congress and Congress did bupkus.

Personally, I think Trump is dirty and has only been left in place because his base is rabidly devoted to him, which means all other elected Republicans are in fear of him, which means they are bending over backwards to protect him. The Republican party has abandoned its soul. I suspect it will never regain it.

Not really. That one was about the practice of "flooding the zone" as a general political strategy. The other thread was specifically about the planned (and underway) disinformation campaign the Trump administration has started.

Trump did not fabricate a fake dossier and then hand it over to corrupt officials who lied about it to the FISA court. He did not leak information about it to the press or many of the other (at the very least) extremely unethical stunts that Comey did. He did not repeatedly encourage anyone to fire Comey and then use that firing as justification to ramp up the investigation.

But yeah, Trump brought it on himself. It's all his fault. He should never have beaten the appointed heir to the Obamessiah's throne and spoil her coronation since it was "her turn."

I'm always still in trouble again

Trump fired Comey due to the Russia investigation and then admitted that that was the reason to Lester Holt. Have you forgotten that? Was he lying when he said that was the reason?

I just heard about Silicon Valley billionaires planning a big campaign to use their technology to get Biden (haha. that's right. Biden) elected.

It sounds like this is pitting high-powered socialist billionaires against a freedom-promoting campaign by Trump.

They see him as their route to power. They realize that he'll be nothing but a figurehead and hope to help control his Administration and gain the power they could never be elected to.

None of which actually happened. The dossier is not "fake," it has sections that are not confirmed and sections that are. It was not handed over to "corrupt officials;" it was handed over to the FBI leadership and was one of several elements used to legally secure FISA warrants. Some of the process steps were not followed as closely as they should have been, and that was caught and addressed.

Umm...he actually fired Comey himself - or did you forget that? And Comey's violations of process mostly came after he was fired. The ones he did before he was fired were mostly to Clinton's detriment, not Trump's
