No. I forget the exact details (it's been a while since I've studied this stuff), but I do know there were several points during the War, especially early on, when the South showed restraint when they could have and should have pushed ahead to seize important objectives. Part of it was that the Northern army underestimated their foes (they thought the whole thing would be over in less than a week), and Lincoln kept appointing incompetent generals. It wasn't until the appointment of Grant that things started to turn definitively in the North's favor, and even then, he had his work cut out for him since he was facing Lee on the other side, who was a brilliant battlefield commander.

Honestly, if there is an actual call for defunding I think that's horrendously stupid. I've met some of that but only in the most extreme socialist circles I'm in contact with. Most liberals just want some of those police departments completely dismantled, and then built up again, and they're quite willing to wave concerns about unions to get some radical restructuring done.

I'm glad for the police officers who signed a letter showing support for something like this, and that letter represented hundreds. Now those officers I'd cheer for. They showed back bones.

Granted it's behind a pay wall so you might not be able to fully read it and I can't read it all myself since I'm not subscribed. I know about it because Tim Pool covered it and it was shown on one of his vids. I had to have a look for it but it's in this video about 13minutes and 20 seconds in where he covers the article above.

I agree. Don't get me wrong I don't think this Autonomous Zone is the right solution.

You can call it what you will, I don't care what the name is. No micro nation will be autonomous until some point in the year 2200 at the current rate minification and automation. That'll be the point where a group of a few hundred individuals can collectively own the means of production for all products.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread or the other thread CHAZ had created a post on their Reddit page in regards to creating a Conflict Resolution Advisory Council (CRAC ). It seems like this post has now been removed. I'm guessing too many people were making fun of it. In the end they had nine edits of the post clarifying which different groups of people they wanted to pander to include on this council. Unfortunately Ceddit or Removeddit only covers the deleted post up to edit number 3.

I also want to point out that it does read like satire so I'm not sure if this is authentic or not but I do wonder why it was up on their reddit page for so long and gone through 9 edits before removing it.

In edit 7 they had to further break down Asian representatives as they got complaints about 1 non-male Asian seat representing all Asians. So they went to 12 seats and specifically named nationalities for the seats i.e. Chinese, Cambodian, etc. However I am personally annoyed that Thai didn't make the list (For those wondering my wife is Thai and my son is half Thai).

In edit 8 they then mentioned that their council did not represent criminal offenders and so were adding a 25% clause for their council to have incarceration experience

In edit 9 they mention that women wanting to make a case to the council in regards to a sexual assault would be uncomfortable to do so if members on the council were guilty of committing a sexual assault themselves in the past. So they placed a 50% cap of having council members with previous convictions of sexual assault Also they mention that homeless people and disabled people are exempt from this cap

I think edit 9 shows that this can't be real. It must have been a post taking the mickey after all because edit 9 is just so out there that it can't be true.

I have noted before that it is often impossible to distinguish between satire, and liberal delusion. I mean, you could say the dumbest thing you can think of, and somewhere there would be a group of liberals vigorously nodding their heads in sincere agreement.

It’s time for a brand new name for the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ). Some organizers now refer to the commandeered 6-block radius as Capitol Hill Occupied (or Organized) Protest (CHOP). But some folks are confused.

Activists have been removing signs from the site formerly known as CHAZ in hopes that the new CHOP name better reflects their action.

The change was made, one unnamed organizer said, because “this is not an autonomous zone, and we’re not trying to secede from the United States.”

He claimed that outsiders called it CHAZ, though provided little evidence. Indeed, protesters at the site previously known as CHAZ actively embraced the old name. But, CHOP it is. We’re just not entirely sure what the “O” stands for.
