See? They can police themselves and remove bad cops after all. No need to defund them or "rebuild" the system

HERE is that story from the Police Department's own website. The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Well, the same back at ya littlejoe. The absurd focus on the potential flaws of the victims in these cases points to a serious incapacity for empathy or respect for one's fellow man. A very distorted view of life. Now due to the race of the victims, I think racism is the most likely explanation for that distorted and disparaging view of the victims - it kinda leaves open the possibility this is an aberration, that this dark part of you isn't something that permeates your entire being.
Take the Arbery case. What you're saying then is that you, MM, CP etc would think it makes perfect sense to come after anyone, no matter who they are, with guns and trucks, chasing them all over the neighborhood in pursuit of a citizens arrest if they happen to stop and loiter a few minutes in a house under construction. (Notice I didn't say you think killing that person is ok, just chasing them around with guns and trucks). And that is actually more disturbing and sick in many ways. Because one can, again, lay a bit of blame on the culture around you if it's a racial thing.
See littlejoe - I think the way these victims have been pummeled verbally here is disgraceful, sick. It would not suddenly be ok if these were white victims. It's just that in that case I'd be convinced you were a bunch of sicko's instead of some basically decent people with a blind spot.Last edited by oxmixmudd; 06-25-2020, 04:46 PM.My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. I suspect he's battling his own racist demons and seeks comfort by trying to convince himself that everybody else is just like him.Originally posted by oxmixmudd View PostI was brought up in part in that southern racist culture. Yeah - I observed racism in action. That is why I'm AGAINST it. I posted that so you'd know I do know what I'm talking about. I've seen it, I know what it looks like.
It was never a part of me, but it was a horrible thing to see.
Still is.
PS: You're just mad because you tried to justify the use of the "N" word by the McMichaels, even tried to claim I might use that word if under enough stress, and I confronted you with the fact I've never even thought of a black person using that term, let alone called a black person that out loud. Clearly that is NOT a common reality here.Last edited by oxmixmudd; 06-25-2020, 05:47 PM.My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. The fact is, you're the one making this all about race. It's a "you" problem, not an "us" problem. Work it out yourself instead of trying to project your thinly veiled white guilt onto us.
And I never, not once, attempted to justify anything the McMichaels said or did, and you know it. What I did say is that an excited utterance is not proof that what they did was motivated by racism. Some may call me foolish, and some may call me odd
