Roger Stone Told Trump In Advance WikiLeaks Would Release Documents Harmful To Clinton Campaign, Aides Claimed

Donald Trump was told in advance that Wikileaks would be releasing documents embarrassing to the Clinton campaign and subsequently informed advisors that he expected more releases would be coming, according to newly unredacted portions of the Mueller report.

In July 2016, political consultant Roger Stone told Trump as well as several campaign advisors that he had spoken with Julian Assange and that WikiLeaks would be publishing the documents in a matter of days. Stone told the then-candidate via speakerphone that he "did not know what the content of the materials was," according to the newly unveiled portions of the report, and Trump responded "oh good, alright" upon hearing the news. WikiLeaks published a trove of some 20,000 emails hacked from the Democratic National Committee on July 22 of that year.

The new revelations are the strongest indication to date that Trump and his closest advisors were aware of outside efforts to hurt Clinton’s electoral chances, and that Stone played a direct role in communicating that situation to the Trump campaign. Trump has publicly denied being aware of any information being relayed between WikiLeaks and his advisors.

The newly unredacted portions of the Mueller report also show that after the initial dump by WikiLeaks, Trump personally asked Manafort to keep in touch with Stone, who in turn told the then-campaign chairman to keep him “apprised of any developments with WikiLeaks.” Investigators were also told by Gates that Trump had multiple phone conversations with Stone during the campaign and that, following one call held en route to LaGuardia airport, “Trump told Gates that more releases of damaging information would be coming.”

One might wonder why Trump would deny knowing about this if he didn't think he was doing anything wrong.

At this point, it's well established that he'll lie to anyone at any time for any reason.

It clear Trump was seeking outside help for his campaign, but as to why he'd lie about this, I'm not so sure he was being crafty / deceptive as much as he was dishonest by default.

Hard to know, but with Bolton's book we have a clear and unwavering pattern of asking for help from other nations, even enemies in manipulating circumstances in favor of his political goals. The man should be summarily dismissed from office, charged with treason, and held in jail until a criminal or military trial for the same can convene.

This is the sort of leader the separation of powers was designed to contain, and impeachment was put in place. And if the gop had even an ounce of the integrity of our founding fathers, we'd no longer be suffering under his abuse.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

Basically, the Russia scandal was all true, and he was guilty of everything. Plus guilty of doing the same thing with China.

First What is your criteria for deciding something is a credible or non credible source?
Second what is your evidence that that Buzzfeed* that started out as a Hollywood Gossip site Is credible now?

*BTW Buzzfeed is the site that gave credence to certain information Steele said he had on what Trump did with some Russian prostitutes which was later proven to be a lie according the source Steele said he got the said information from.

Why is it that this focus on the details is completely absent when people use labels like "fake news" and "MSM"?

Some of the sources that USED to be considered credible have shed all sense of fairness, and pretty much bragged about it.

As expected resident RWNJs have nothing to say about the proof of collusion now that Barr's coverup is falling apart.

Credible news sources focus on the news first and make occasional mistakes. RWNJ news sources focus on spin primarily and make frequent "mistakes" which are rarely acknowledged or corrected.

Are you claiming that Buzzfeed News is inaccurately reporting what is in the newly unredacted portions of the Mueller Report? Have you checked other credible news sources?

Might you identify these RWNJs, so we can see when one of them says anything?

I've already defined RWNJ previously. Symptoms include 1) complaining about the "the left" 2) allusions to Democrats being communists 3) assertions that the MSM is uncredible 4) COVID45 denailism.
