    i think in this case, the deaths will lag by 40 years or so.

Why would anyone vote for someone who is afraid to or can't play hard ball?

        As far as fatalities world wide it is well documented that the actual fatalities are much greater than the reported numbers. It is documented that in China the actual fatalities are double the reported, for example the number of burial urns ordered are more than two times the reported casualties in Wuhan. Fear of extreme measures by the government has caused many localities to not disclose deaths due to COVID-19. Brazil and Russia greatly under reported the fatalities and downplayed the pandemic for political reasons.Worldwide there are cultural stigmas and fear based denial of COVID-19 The USA has done better; but early in the pandemic the fatality rate was under reported due to the overwhelming casualty rate in the large cities like New York. There were also many cases under not diagnosed, because COVID-19 was not well known, especially the elderly. The USA can probably back track to improve the figures for fatalities, but the under count in other countries will not be corrected by those in power..

        Glendower: I can call spirits from the vasty deep.
        Hotspur: Why, so can I, or so can any man;
        But will they come when you do call for them? Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1, Act III:

        go with the flow the river knows . . .

        I do not know, therefore everything is in pencil.

          Shuny, just claiming that something is "well documented" doesn't make it true. As for what comes out of China - I wouldn't believe their reports if they told me rain comes from clouds.
          The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
