They are calling it a national anthem for a reason, every news source I have read is calling it that. If you can't see what is going on I can't help you.

What is going on? If there are people trying to change the national anthem to something they feel is more inclusive is that really a problem? If enough people agree then it should be changed, that’s how democracies work.

The only problem I see here is that one side only seems to value their own traditions and culture to the point they get offended when the other side merely attempts to contribute or form some of their own.

I find it no problem that the Black National Anthem is being sung. It's beautiful and I learned it this year when it was taught to my kindergartner's class. Frankly black Americans rightly so feel marginalized. They've been marginalized and bullied. I've witnessed a friend of mine being bullied because she was 1/2 black and 1/2 white. It hasn't gotten any better in the area she grew up in and its terrible in the surrounding. I feel as if integration was just lip service or done only because it was the law. If the decriers would sit down, read the words and listen with understanding they would realize what the significance of the song is.

No we haven't. Not on any sort of national scale by white folks. What BLM represents is a straight up lie, from every perspective of it.

I understand you do not. But there are places where it's real. I am not a follower of BLM's political positions, and it's my understanding that there are two wings. The political and the moral. Sean I posted an article written by a former police chief in Detroit. Perhaps you are like me, and you grew up with a family that taught cultural interdependence. I was sheltered. Systemic racism does exist, at least it does in certain places.
