My gut tells me that Joe Biden is going to pick Tammy Duckworth the junior United States Senator from Illinois to be his running mate.. We will find out in a couple of weeks I suppose.

There are a number of traits besides gender that his VP could have. The one I'm hoping for is youth; Biden needs a young VP,

With his higher than normal chances compared to most Presidents of dying in office, I have to be convinced his nominee is President-ready. For me, the people who come to mind are Senator Warren or Governor Cuomo. That I won't like their politics is different. I'll at least feel that the nominee is ready to be President if the need arises. If Biden nominates a flash-in-the-pan like Stacey Abrams or Beto O'Rourke, I'm done with him.
For example, I actually like Ocasio-Cortez as a Representative, but I wouldn't want her as the VP pick. She's a bit too feisty, and probably isn't the best second-choice for POTUS.
I too want someone competent (and young); someone with experience.
