So what you are saying is that at the point of conception, human beings do not exist? At any point after conception, what we have is a human being. That human being is merely at a different stage of development. There is no way to avoid that reality.

At any point after conception, what we have is a human being. That human being is merely at a different stage of development. There is no way to avoid that reality.

Don't get your hopes up. Laws like this have existed for a long time, and to tell you the truth it's hard to find fault with most of them. I don't like murderers, and people who murder pregnant women seem just plain cowardly. This seems rather silly though. If he didn't know, the act couldn't have been directed at the fetus. A real headscratcher.

Of course there is no way to avoid that reality. The human being goes through stages of development that include just life and evolve to human life.

No, before conception, the egg and sperm cells do not equal a human being. At the point of conception, they combine and are no longer egg and sperm cells - they then and thereafter equal a human being.

Jimmy, the completed DNA of the unborn child from conception onward unequivocally proves it's human, and no one in their right mind would say that it's not alive, thus it is a human life.

From then after they equal a zygote. A zygote is a single cell. What you're suggesting is along the same lines as giving a paramecium voting rights.

The point is that children slowly gain rights as they mature and are able to handle them. However, there are fundamental rights we extend to all children, including the right to life. There is no basis for denying the unborn this right to life.
