It would be sufficient to have dreamed of cows, to have suffered hallucinations involving cows, or merely to have had-without prejudice-"cowish" sense data.

You know, my mother was a Jew. She hated as a religious act the creation of the Israeli state believing only the Messiah could set up a "new" Jewish state.
There are any number of religious Jews across the whole religious spectrum who feel that the Jewish state is wrong in its fundamental set up. Would you consider THOSE people anti-semites?
Moreover, you seem to expect that Arabs who see this attack on Iraq as an attack on their world-view will not rejoice when US troops are captured? I imagine some US / UK citizens were rejoicing when Iraqi troops were captured, so why would it be ok for them and not for the Arabs.
And Cadet, your "glow in the dark" is a racist comment & I have reported it to the moderators as such.

"Mere mechanical infallibility is but a poor substitute for a plenary Inspiriation, which finds its expression in the right relation between partial human knowledge and absolute Divine truth." (Introduction to the Study of the Gospels, Westcott, p.41).
Poverty is not only low income and no assets. It is a condition of exclusion from the institutions and organizations of modern life. In many countries law courts, banks, education, health services, roads, water, electricity, even respect, are not available to the poor.

It's hardly racist. It's just an expression of "Oh, so they like our troops getting captured? Let's see how they like an A-bomb!" Note the icon below it. It denotes that I was rather ticked when I wrote that. Note that I feel the same way about the traitors in San Francisco and the other cities with their anti-US protests.
Don't believe it's anti-US?

These people are best introduced with an M-60.

Cadet, rock on. Some people just don't get that the "peace" movement isn't about peace. If it was, they'd of demonstrated in Baghdad to stop the inhumane policies there. Instead, they went over there to defend a mass murderer. My favorite is that I've been hearing of violent peace protests, which should be an oxymoron.

An M-79 would be more efficient."Reading the Bible in a translation is like kissing your bride through the veil."
Rabbinic Saying"To suppose that whatever God requireth of us that we have power of ourselves to do, is to make the cross and grace of Jesus Christ of none effect."

I love how in a thread about how a young Jew gets the crap kicked out of him Kiwi immediately begins ranting against the state of Isreal.
Good job
And how is that racist? He didn't say anything about a race of people. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God....
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Alden,
perhaps you can show me just where I was "Ranting against the State of Israel?"
Socrates.
you sayActually, old boy, how do you know that? My mother may well have escaped from East Europe ahead of the Nazis, you don't know, you can't know and so your comment is simply the thing you seem best at, an ad-hominem attack, in this case, on me via my mother! Not that you would agree with your mum's reasons, eh? And it was fine for her in the safety of New Zealand, a long way from where 6 million Jews had been butchered
Tell me do you find it hard being as asinine as you are?
FurthermoreI said not one word about Hussein being moslem, if you do not know what the phrase "world-view" means, simply ask, I can put you right! It is NOT. Saddam is head of the secular socialist Baath Party. So any motivation for siding with Saddam is not because he's pro-Moslem (although it suits him to claim to be), but because he shares their hatred of Jews
MoreoverWhat has this got to do with Gulf War 2? Or is it simply that you are unable to get your head around the passage of twelve intervening years? I know its hard, I mean there were Bushs' as President both times and a war in the Gulf Region both times too but, really Scatrotres, you need to get out more!.don't think we will EVER see anything like the way the Arabs rejoiced when innocent civilians were murdered on 11 Sept, or when Saddam bombed Israel during the first installment of the Gulf War.
As for comments by Spl_Cadet, you can squirm all you want but painting ALL Palestinians as worthy of death because SOME rejoice at the capture of US troops is both genocidal and racist.
Moreover I am very proud of my mother who came from a long line of anti-zionist Rabbis / Jews. Neither she nor I have anything of which to be ashamed.

Perhaps when you said:
The initial post was regarding anything Jewish was about someone being beaten because of their heritage. Your rant was by way of an anecdote from your mum. This really didn't have much to do with anything. Therefore a rant. You know, my mother was a Jew. She hated as a religious act the creation of the Israeli state believing only the Messiah could set up a "new" Jewish state.
There are any number of religious Jews across the whole religious spectrum who feel that the Jewish state is wrong in its fundamental set up.
