Thanks again everyone. Can I just assure anyone who is concerned that my
reign of terrormoderting duties will be carried out in anentirely arbitraryimpartial and as even handed as possible manner. People haveeverythingnothing to worry about.
And hey, disagreeing with you is not the same as not knowing anything, inspite of what some people thing.

jason is evolving into a rhino? Ahhhhh!

April 13th 2004, 09:28 PM #51Just to clarify (or possibly muddle) until recently I was OEC but uncertain. I'm currently leaning very heavily toward framework, which is silent on the age of the earth. I am even considering a combination of framework/YEC.

I think I am strongly leaning towards a combo of framework/YEC.

April 13th 2004, 09:34 PM #53Well my I am only considering the YEC part. Leaning heavily toward the framework part.

I though Xavier was an OEC for some reason, too.
In any case, jason seems to keep his cool pretty well. As for science knowledge, moderating doesn't really require knowledge of the forum's material as long as the purpose is to keep the peace. Especially here at TWeb: the only things that seem to get moderated are flames and posting in the wrong forums.
I posted up an avatar in the Rec room since you requested ideas, but if you're not into Greek mythology, jason, maybe it isn't your thing. The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be.

Bravo jason and One Bad Pig; best of luck.

I hang out in those forums a fair bit, and hope to engage in the capacity of loyal opposition. I think moderation generally is a good idea, and am glad to see a couple of people step up to take it on. Well done.
I hope you'll both also engage topics in the forum as regular posters from time to time. With two new moderators, there is ample scope to let another moderator arbitrate if there are any issues.
Best wishes -- Sylas

April 14th 2004, 05:16 AM #57Oh I didn't mean to imply he was the only OEC out of our whole moderating team. He is our first OEC science moderator, though technically perhaps Faramir was.

I think rhino evolution is impossible to defend from a YEC viewpoint. Let's see how long it takes for jason to evolve into one.
