Only if it's held in Matamata (Hobbiton). You can rent out the Green Dragon for conferences.

You hear that folks? We're losing cred, so we need to step up our game.

What, you mean, like talk to someone in person? That's just weird.
No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?

At the first TwebCon, we had a room-full of people, each with his or her own laptop, communicating mostly through Paltalk.

I would love to meet a few more TWebbers, but chances of my coming are slim to none. Unless it were held in Anchorage. So far I have met Desert Berean.

Maybe there could be two or three simultaneous twebcons throughout the country linked by web conferencing.

I didn't vote. My option was not there. "I would like to come, but probably could not."

True, but there was also pizza and laughter. And, we were posting from each other's laptops so the folks at home had no idea who was at the wheel most of the time. We weren't quite as dysfunctional as you might think!

That applies to me too, if you replace 'probably' with 'definitely' I'm far too far away from everyone else, and can't afford to travel.

We sort of accomplished this at TWebCon II, as you will recall, Ivo. It was not simple! Chaotic Void even participated in our White Elephant game via Skype, but the internet connection was pretty terrible. Just show up! We need the entertainment! #likeavirgin.

Well, I certainly wouldn't go if it was in Canada. If it was near Canada, maybe.
