Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
God, chaos, peace, and the Little River…

“I will announce the name of the LORD. Praise God because he is great! He is like a rock; what he does is perfect, and he is always fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong, who is right and fair.” (Deuteronomy 32:3–4, NCV)

God is always more than we think we know about him! Life has taught me that it is more important to experience God’s presence than it is to know God. I believe one of the reasons Jesus came into the world and why we need the Holy Spirit so much is so we can experience God. For me the experience of the two disciples who met the resurrected Jesus on the road to Emmaus said it best after Jesus broke bread with them and disappeared. “They said to each other, “It felt like a fire burning in us when Jesus talked to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us.”” (Luke 24:32, NCV)

They experienced God “life a fire burning in us,” recently while driving along the Little River Road running from Townsend, Tennessee to Gatlinburg my wife Patti and I experienced the presence of God in a different way. As we drove along the Little River Road the Little River which flows from the top of the Great Smoky Mountains to the valleys below suddenly became symbolic of life and as an ensign of God.

There are places along the Little River Road where the Little River cascades over rock formations where the river moves swiftly and chaotic. There are times when our lives are rocky and chaotic moving faster and faster yet a closer examination reveals the presence of a God that is like a giant rock unmovable against anything life throws at it. Then suddenly the Little River pools up and the swiftly moving water becomes a serene sanctuary where the water is so clear and calm you can see the bottom. There are also times when life presents itself as a calm reflective pool of water so crystal clear and calm you can sense not only all the blessings that come with life but you also experience the presence of the Holy Spirit the Conveyor of Jesus’ Peace.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
