Amelia.... that's a pretty name.
No matter what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously.

Thanks. I always loved it...it's unusual, but not strange-sounding. She loves Amelia Bedelia books. She also has a story about Amelia Earhart.
All of my kids' names start with "A". We thought we'd continue the tradition. Our fourth is due January 1st, and it's another girl. I like the name Ava, but my husband really likes Anya. Oh well, we've got awhile to figure it out!

I vote for Ava. That's an adorable name. What do you think of Abigail?

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
We actually thought of Abigail...and I like Abby too. However, it's a bit common around here. My oldest son goes to school with a bunch of Abbys. I like names that aren't very popular. Also, we have a kitty named Abby!
Anyway, I still like Ava too, but Anya is growing on me."Religion consists in a set of things which the average man thinks he believes and wishes he was certain of." - Mark Twain

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
My girls made the wrestling team at school.
Wrestling season started after returning from the winter break. They are having fun with it. There's one other girl on their team. We've got to really work on their technique though, becasue they don't have much upper body strength.
At the last match, one of the girls got slammed to the ground and tore the ligament in her shoulder, so she's been told that she cannot wrestle for another week, and there's only one week left in the season, o she's a bit disappointed.
but they both did so well! I'm so proud of them for sticking it out even when they didn't win.I need a new signature.
