Re: Parent's Brag Thread
Yeah, she's a pretty lil thing - and Michelle's right, everyone's kids look pretty awesome on here.
Mind you, I only save the best ones off the camera - there's quite a few where she's cross-eyed, blinking or pulling gross naughty faces!

Mossy, the camera added about sixteen pounds to Chester the guinea pig!

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
So, I get to share. My daughter age 4, is very very and in the "why" stage of life. Why where how you name it. So we were sitting waiting for my car to be fixed and she said "Mommy where did I come from?" I proceeded to tell her that I prayed for a very long time because I wanted a very special little girl. She said "Just like me?" I said "Just like you." and I told her that "God gave you to me, because He said that you were the just the right little girl for me." She said: "You mean, you didn't buy me from the baby store? I didn't come from the store?" I told her no that she was a gift from God, and that He made her, just for me to be her mommy. I then told her that since she was a very special gift, that I made a promise to God. She asked me "What did you promise God. mommy?" I said: "Annie, since you are my daughter, I promised God, that since he gave you to me, I would let you be his daughter to, so I had you baptized into His family." She said, "But Mommy God isn't my Father, is He?" I said, "Annie, you are a very special little girl, you have two daddy's." "I have two daddys?" I said, "Yes you have two daddys" You have your daddy who loves you and take care of you here on earth, and you have another Daddy, in Heaven and that is God! and He Loves you too and He takes care of more than you'll ever know!" She said, "That makes me a very special little girl. Mommy, I'm glad you're my mommy, and I'm glad God is my Heavenly Father, can I go play now?"

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
Reminds me of my daughter at that age, (she's 28 now). She was absolutely convinced that our pastor was God, because he lived "at church". (The parsonage was attached to the church building.)

I believe that God put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind I will never die.

Re: Parent's Brag Thread
I was answering a series of "why" questions from my cousin when my uncle came over asked him "why not?" and my cousin stopped asking questions and I was dumbfounded that it worked. So, I get to share. My daughter age 4, is very very and in the "why" stage of life.
