USA! USa! Usa! usa! usa us. u.. ... .. .
Government has solution to war and terrorism
Well thank god! I thought all this time they were just wasting time passing bills dealing with the economy and unemployment, perhaps something on renewable energy and hybrid technology. But no, they were working on the most important bill in the history of this planet.
History lesson, millions died in WWII because Americans were too selfish to pray and fast. Japan bombed us because our prayer shield was down, we became too complacent.
Read my lips, never again will our prayer shield go down.

Gotta love Higgins' attempted trashing of high-level theo-interactive issues. What I like even more is La Rubia's response to it.
In reaction to Richwine Affair, all right-thinking people are quick to proclaim that they don’t believe in a genetic basis for IQ. They’re much less quick to explain – with any sort of precision – what they actually do believe in. At best, we’re treated to some hand-waving paired with the phrase “social construct.”.

You know the majority is actually winning. Athiests compose only 5 or 6 percent of the population.

March 28th 2003, 02:28 AM #6Interestingly enough this was the kernal out of which Thanksgiving grew. So Turkey day in fact started out as a day of fasting and prayer. On March 30, 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, at the bequest of the Senate, and himself recognizing the need of the Nation to humble itself before God in repentance for its national sins, proclaimed a day of fasting, prayer and humiliation.

March 28th 2003, 11:31 AM #11I certainly should when people are somehow under the impression that prayer will save the US. Isn't God's plan, God's plan, subject to no sway? We can't be sending troops to war, thinking that if we pray, they'll be safe.Today @ 08:37 AM post located here

They believe in it. You shouldn't mock them for it. And I have seen interesting studies to suggest that what you believe will happen has an effect on outcomes, so maybe its not a bad idea.
Meh.

Just a side not on Thanksgiving...originally days of Thanksgiving were declared by different levels of governement to celebrate and recognize significant events in civic life. Of course it was out of Abe's intentions that those days were dwindeld down to once a year on a national level.

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

Lives are at stake, both of Iraqi civilians and Coalition troops. Prayer won't protect either of them. Neuroticism should not be tolerated."I am an alien spouse of female military personnel en route to the United States under public law 271 of the Congress." - Capt. Henri Rochard
