Is the ACLU stronger than God?
I'm curious, in recent decades we've seen conservative Christians lose on a lot of battlegrounds to th ACLU, e.g creationism, prayer in schools abortion etc. Now I'm sure that lots of Christians were praying to God for the decisions to go their way, e.g Roe v. Wade. In the OT, God seems to have no problems empowering Israelites to beat nasties like the Amalekites, yet for some strange reason lawyers for Him can't seem to get past a bunch of ACLU lawyers.
I wonder why that is?
Could it be that God is on the side of the ACLU?

wait...this was an attempt at a joke wasn't it?We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God....
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Well, partly. For some reason conservative Christians assume that God is always on their side, and that their favorite laws are God's laws. Usually, evidence of the power of God is in miracles or events in the OT. So, I am poking fun at their position, by pointing out that their version of God has gotten impotent in His old age, or that maybe God isn't as much on their side as they seem to think He is.

Can I assume then that by allowing Satan a few whacks now and then at we poor mortals that the resulting sin is serving a greater good? If such be the rules of the road to heaven, how about organizing Tweb 's First Annual Orgy and Smiting Fest?

Oh what a tangled web these list makers weave..
Has this list been carbon dated for veracity?

Oh wait.. there's a topic too.. let me answer that while I'm at it:
No.
