World History 201 Guidelines

Welcome to World History 201.

Find out if Caesar crossed the Rubicon or threw a dollar across it.

This is the forum where world history, in general, can be discussed. Since the WH201, like the other fora in the World History department, is not limited to participation along lines of theology, all may post here.

Please keep the Campus Decorum in mind when posting here--while 'belief' restrictions are not in place, common decency is.

The Tweb rules are in force . . . we're watching you.

And I see you as a mouse, as a mouse of a man.

You can talk big online = like a mouse that roars.
      that would be Meh Gerbil.

But you are the one who starts it.
you are the one who started it this time. I just mentioned that you were like Mickiel to cow poke. Mickiel was another universalist. he kept breaking the rules so he got canned. you have not done so. so you are not like him in that way.

Wow ~ is not that wonderful of you.

You are so generous and magnanimous.

So wow I need to be grateful to you as my benefactor. Luke 22:25
      you are welcome.

I am sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Actually it is about anyone who talks dirt about another person who is not here to defend their self.

There is nothing manly nor Christian to insult another person when you have the advantage and they are defenseless.

I am sure it gives the feeling of superiority to insult "M" after the bullies got him banned from this forum, but in fact (AFAICT) it is just cowardly and dishonorable to do such things.

You are being defensive when it was not an affront to your comment.

My point is just that the USA joined the wrong side, as we joined the aggressors against those who were trying to do right.
Then why was your direct response to me basically a tirade about how Germany's invasion of Belgium wasn't what drew the U.S. into the war? Nobody even implied that it was. Yes, everyone could see what I wrote but it is apparent you didn't.

Belgium was neutral. As was Luxembourg. Both were invaded by Germany as part of a plan devised by them nearly a decade prior to WWI that they came up with to take France by surprise by attacking them through neutral countries. I suggest you look up the Schlieffen Plan, named after Field Marshal Alfred von Schlieffen.

What is the matter with you? No one has threatened you with banning. Sparko pointed that out and you went berserk. You will find that few if any here support your Universalism. That does not mean anyone is picking on you or "lording it over" you. You are not a victim here and it would make things better if you stopped acting like someone has attacked you.

Oh, and pointing out that Mickiel was not popular or respected is not talking dirt about him.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

We did not enter that war to liberate Belgium, and not as right against wrong, and nothing to do with truth or justice - no, the USA fought for democracy.

The Country of Germany was defending the weaker Austria from the war mongers Russia and France, and from Serbia who started the war with its illegal and immoral assassination of the Austrian Arch Duke.
One other BIG point about the USA getting into the 1st WW based on promoting democracy - is that after the war it was the new political party of the National Socialist (the NAZI party) who's leader Adolf Hitler was elected to office through the democracy that the USA brought to Germany by our force of arms.

As such the one truly sensible deduction from this is that God must have wanted or planned all of this to happen just as it did.

I quoted myself and responded to my own comment because I want to go back to discussing the topic.

To me the first World War is very interesting, and it is vital information for understanding our world today.

Who else were I to quote?

Do I quote the mouse that calls names like a baby? ~ I say not.

Do I quote or reply to those keep commenting without saying anything of merit? ~ I say not.

Do I reply to a person who does not follow the topic? ~ Clearly I did that this time with you.

Apparently the person "M" had the same problem here as I do here.

I heard WWI started because some bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich because he was hungry.
