I do not have a family because I have some difficulty with social situations. But you can be assured that this has nothing to do with pornography, since I have been the same since I was a child.

You fail to reason that NAMBLA advocates 8 year olds not high school students, so according to NAMBLA 8 year olds are capable of consenting. The vast majority of people love children, they just think that having sex with them is grossly indecent and wrong! And in that opinion, I think we are right in protecting the children from monsters that want to use them as toys.

You assume a vast majority in Jimmy Higgins' world. Many cultures throughout history and even up to today have marriages with 20-30 year old men with 10-13 year old women. Are these men vile monsters because the vast majority in their culture practice that form of marriage rituals?

But where is the connection between pornography and child abuse. I still don't see how you can make that jump.

Although I have heard on numerous occasions statistics which show a link between involvement in porn and divorce, and it is not hard to see why this would be so. I just don't have access to these statistics which I have heard so often. Rats!

What do you mean by "involvement in porn?" Are you talking about people obsessed with viewing porn to the point that it upsets the family balance, or are you talking about people who are actively involved in the porn industry (models, actors, filmmakers, etc.)?

I could understand how porn might play a part in extremely religious households, where the wife finds her husband has been viewing porn and objects strongly on religious grounds.

But I think that most men would stop looking at porn rather than have their marriage end in divorce - unless there was some other underlying problem with the marriage that wasn't being taken into account.

That's because in popular usage, the prefix "homo" has been contexualized to refer to homosexuals. But in popular usage, the prefix "pedo" still refers to "child" not to "child molester." It's extremely commonplace to hear someone say, "Look at those homos over there!" How often do you hear someone say, "That dude's a pedo?"

Don't you think a secular household would be negatively affected by the father having an addiction to porn, as well?

Perhaps, but that assumes that once found out it would not already by too late.
