  • IT'S DLABAOAQU Official Thread

After months of indecision, a new review for my blog has been posted. This time I'm cutting my teeth on animation with the classic early-90's snarkfest Captain Planet. I will be facing down one of the show's most infamous episodes: "Numbers Game".

Let me ask you something: Were you a third or fourth child of a household? Are you a parent with more than two kids?
If you answered "yes" to either of those, congrats! According to this cartoon, you're destroying the world by just existing!

For more detail about this insipid episode, read the review here: http://dlabaoaqu.blogspot.com/2014/0...t-numbers.html

I'm the fourth son before five girls, and I have two daughters. Should I head to the soylent green factory now?
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I say no. Ted Turner says yes.

I like Ted Turner less than I like you.

Should I tackle Space Black Knight next or go back to games and look at Sonic Chaos?

A Sonic game I remember fondly from my youth, but tends to get overlooked along with other Sonic handhelds from the pre-Game Boy Advance era.

Biggest thing I remember about that game (when I played it on the modern collections for the Gamecube) was that the ricochet laser of the final boss. Killed me numerous times, along with one death from the end of the final battle with it's one-hit cheapness. I dubbed it the "ping pong laser" and to this day I think that was one of the hardest final battles in a Sonic game. The Death Egg from Sonic 2 (no rings!) and the Doomsday Zone are the only other final Sonic battles to give me trouble, though the latter I can do somewhat lazily now thanks to how constantly I've played it.

I like the classic Sonic games and stories, and have heard good things about Triple Trouble, and enjoyed "Tails' Adventure".

Since I can't change the name of my threads, this one will serve as the official hub for this site. (Is there a Mod who can combine the previous two with this one?)

The new review is of a Korean phony anime called Captain of Cosmos, with recolors predating the debut of Sonic the Hedgehog fan art: http://dlabaoaqu.blogspot.com/2014/0...smos-1984.html

Let's just say that it involved three kegs of contact cement, a roll of duct dape, a paper clip, and a rubber chicken.
