Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

  • We Pray…

    Glory Seed Devotional 07/23/2014
A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD

There are times when life doesn’t make any sense, when it seems as if the good die before their time, when it seems as if those who reject the God who gave them life live lives of success, when the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, when God seems billions of light years away. There are times when it seems as if all we can do is pray. And so from a world that receives it light on a continual basis from the sun 93 million miles away we the people of the world cry out for light but not just any light for “THE LIGHT” the Light that illuminates and chases away our darkness.

And so a feeble prayer goes out… God who lives in heaven, God who also lives in our world, God who also lives in our hearts, “Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!” (Psalm 43:3–4, NLT)

    Amen…

And the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking for Jesus answers, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” (John 12:44–46, NLT)

There are times when trusting in Jesus means not seeking answers for which we cannot understand the totality of God’s Master Plan but try as best we can to rest in the assurance that in the end it is only God who is trustworthy and worthy of our trust. The Light of Jesus does not always illuminate the circumstances surrounding us but it always illuminates a path for us to walk.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NLT)

    Amen Gary!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
