Re: im starting to think that...
Lord knows it's all about attacking people for fun...
Thanks for your patience in the thread's I have previously committed myself to. Things are still difficult and topsy-turvy here, and I may actually start work somewhere this week (strong likelihood), so I'll do my best to answer some of those threads! See you in the forums...
When even our Christian leadership has committed to a strategy of compromising on "Do not murder" by supporting judges [like Alito], politicians [like Bush] and rulings that explicitly will kill certain innocent children, it is absurd for us to ask God to bless America. -- Bob Enyart, 1/18/06

My thought would be that if that cross by your name is an indication that you are supposed to be a christian that you should be praying for no matter who is president. I didn't realize it was the christians throwing others to the lions.

I wish I could go to the polls and actually feel like I'm voting for someone, and not against someone, or the lesser of two evils.

What, Bill Clinton didn't give us plenty of chance for that? Frankly, he is still giving us plenty of chances, with his new book.

I'd prefer to hear more creative attacks on Bush's character for the next 4 years. I am a Bush supporter, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a little creativity here and there. I still think it was hilarious when Jessie Jackson said the "Stay out of the Bushes" line.

I'm gonna vote for the man, but.....what character? He doesn't seem to have much "fun" in him.

Re: im starting to think that...
so the reason your voting for him is so people can commit murder under protection of the law right?

Re: im starting to think that...
Otaku, as usual, your inflammatory and foundationless rhetoric is embarassing to the very people on your side of the issue (like me). I still pray you will find a dram of maturity one of these days, and start acting your age.

Taku-
I am going to ask you a serious question. Why are you here? Boredom? What?We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God....
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

If that were the motivation..... it certainly is not the way for any male to capture the positive attention of a female!

There we are, human beings, gifted with the ability to reason, to verbalize our thoughts, to ponder and reflect, to analyze, to introspect, yet some of us will behave as if we forbid ourselves to use those tools.

Well said sister Rahab.
By the way, the one whohoped otoku would act his age? I'm pretty sure he is. Isn't he like 10 or something?"Yes, I'm quite concerned about health care issues surrounding leaked radiation from Japan. Now, please pass me my super sized, bacon double cheeseburger, combo meal..."

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz
