New feature - Paging System!~
Hello TWebbers! You may have noticed that we now have an internal paging system. It works much like an external instant messengers. Hit "page member" in a user's postbit or profile. There is also (or will be) a nifty icon on the who's online page.
However you need to know... you must periodically refresh to see new messages that come up. The message box does not automatically refresh as it would cause you to lose new post in mid-type which would be uncool.
MORE IMPORTANTLY! this system is fully logged and archived in much the same way as the Shoutbox. This means that you will be able to view the logs of your past pager sessions. But more importantly, unlike Privates Messages - this system should be accorded the same expectation of privacy as the Shoutbox. The logs of pager texts are easily accessible to the forum leadership so keep that in mind. We will not make a practice of reviewing pager logs except to troubleshoot technical difficulties or investigate abuse, however, you need to be aware that they are readily available and act accordingly.
However, always be aware that Private Messages are not reviewed by leadership and are assured of privacy. The only way we are aware of abuse of Private Messaging is if a user alerts us and forwards to us the text.
We hope with these two cautions in mind (remeber to refresh and remember that the pager system should be treated with the same level of privacy as a shoutbox comment) we hope you enjoy this fun new feature.Nochyu mokraya ptitsa nikogda ne letaet.
