Home Economics 101

Welcome to the Home Ec Section. Matters of the family sometimes bring joy and other times bring grief. But it is never trivial: Family matters! Feel free to discuss topics such as the sanctity of marriage; the awesome responsibility of raising children; the struggles of communication problems; the grief of losing a loved one; or anything else that relates to the home and family. However, due to the more personal nature of this section, I ask that you would be especially thoughtful of the readers' feelings. My earnest hope and prayer is that the discussions in this section will help families grow in the love of Christ.

But remember, always play by the rules: here

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Two of our dogs don't see squirrels, cats, or birds outside until the third dog barks at something. Then the two go absolutely nuts trying to get outside to attack, meanwhile the one who started it goes and calmly curls back up in her usual napping spot and watches the other two.
Curiosity never hurt anyone. It was stupidity that killed the cat.

That is exactly what we call her. She is a border collie, so she will alert us to "danger" but has no interest in chasing and attacking the "threat" (she does however occasionally herd small children if any visit). One of the others is a terrier mix so she is hardwired to chase and attack things. The other is a cattle dog and a complete doofus and will do whatever his sisters tell him to do, including barking at things that he may not even see. It is hilarious to watch them sometimes.

            Wait, that's more than one.

Jake is a good dog. He and the NSA assigned to keep an eye out on your are buddies. When other dogs are around he doesn't want to blow their cover so he behaves like a typical dog around typical non-Ninja Squirrel Assassin squirrels.
