Looks like I'm going to be a daddy!

That's right; my wife Sarah is pregnant, due on March 3. We just confirmed at the doctor's office via ultra sound that our pregnancy is viable and healthy and so now it is time to start spreading the news! This will be our very first child. Looks like I'm going to be a daddy!

This was an unplanned pregnancy and not the time in life that we would have chosen for it ourselves, but God is wiser than we are. In retrospect, I can already see numerous signs of God's preparation and provision in advance for this baby (such as Sarah just recently getting a great new job, with good medical benefits, working on campus at the seminary I go to) and God has always taken good care of us in the past. Even though the pregnancy was unplanned it is welcome and Sarah and I are very excited about it!

Please do pray for us though. In the midst of having a baby, I will also be graduating from seminary in May. Currently I am in the process of applying to Ph.D. programs (something which I have been very anxious about lately) and so it is highly likely that we will be moving next summer. There's a lot of changes in the air for us right now and a lot of uncertainties about the future. Pray for God's provision – we know it will be there. More importantly, pray that God increases our faith so that we will rest in Him during this time.
