Looking for books/articles on the Trinity
No Systematic Theology texts need apply!
I have a few books already, and a few articles, but I am looking for works which deal with the biblical roots of Trinitarian Theology. I know Ronald Nash has some stuff, as does Kevin Vanhoozer. Fee has an article in his book To What End Exegesis? as well as his book on the Holy Spirit in Paul.
Can anyone else come up with some resources for me?For true conversion, click here.

Ron Rhodes' Christ Before the Manger: The Life and Times of the Preincarnate Christ might be of help to you to show another person of the Trinity active in the OT besides Jehovah.
Also, I'm unsure if The Trinity in the universe by Nathan Robinson Wood would be of help to you or not.
I have both of these if you're interested to borrow them for a time.

Re: Looking for books/articles on the Trinity
I have the book "The Trinity: Evidence and Issues" by Robert Morey... Only thing is, I've no idea how good or bad it is -- I haven't read it yet. There is a review on the Tekton Apologetics website: http://www.tektonics.org/RM.TEI_0529106922.htm
"Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen." Book of Common Prayer, p. 236

Re: Looking for books/articles on the Trinity
Good question. It seems the systematic theologians have been making all the running but major questions like the doctrine of the Trinity have been relatively neglected by the N.T. scholars. One that I have used a lot in recent years is Arthur Wainwright's "The Trinity in the New Testament" - it is good stuff, does what it says on the cover.

Well, it's probably not what you want, but I'd recommend Being as Communion by John Zizioulas.

Re: Looking for books/articles on the Trinity
Is this thread alive or dead? I see it has been a while so I'm giving it a little nudge to see if it moves. Yeah, the Zizioulas book, that seems to be turning up a lot these days, it is good but leans a lot on the Church Fathers, which is good but perhaps not what is required here?
James Dunn has written quite a lot on the relationship between Jesus and the Spirit which is a good place to take up the story and Larry Hurtado did a book a few years back on how early believes came to equate Jesus as Lord. I just finished reading Craig Keener's book called The Spirit in the Gospels and Acts which he claims to have written as a companion to Fee's massive work on the Spirit in Pauline works. Much smaller book, using working textual examples and seeing the development of doctrines in the context of Jewish thinking of the NT period. Probably worth borrowing from a library or friend rather than buying.
It would be nice to hear how things go with this. Is it for college? Is anyone still hanging in here?
