Question Amillenialism Q&A from an inquiring Christian...

I am halfway through a book by Kim Riddlebarger, "A Case For Amillenialism" and some questions have cropped up for me. Some may recall that I am the 'Eschatological Agnostic' (not the only one either ), still purusing and studying as much as I can on all sides.

Anywho, my first question thus far deals with Satans actions in the time just before the end. My understanding has been that God through His Holy Spirit will cease to restrain Satan and things will get very 'hairy' in a moral and spiritual sense and that in the midst of this Christ will return to judge and make things new, putting ends to sin and suffering. Does amillenialism teach this? Do they believe we must somehow 'make things better'? Or am I confusing them with another group?

Just curious...I'll have more as I go through the book. I am also reading some on Dispensationalism, and would like to post a thread on that as well. Hey! Maybe we could put up 'sticky's on Amillenialism and Dispensationalism...? For goons like me...

No group believes that "we" make things better though that is a frequent caricature of postmill.

ahhh thanks DeeDee. So PostMill doesnt state that everything from Govt. to the individual will be conformed to the Kingdom? Remember, I know very little of PostMil, only the caricature's unfortunately.

it depends - you have theonomic and nontheonomic postmill or more accurately reconstructionist and nonreconstructionist - but either way no Postmill believes WE do ot - it is God that does it - and I do believe that God will reform en masse the world - gov'ts are made up of individuals - and that is where it starts not the other way around - a government of redeemed individuals will be redeemed
