Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    Living on God’s Sacred Highway…

Tomorrow afternoon Patti and I will be on I-75 headed for Townsend, Tennessee. At Knoxville we’ll turn on Highway 129 then in Maryville we’ll turn on East Lamar Alexander Parkway which will take us into Townsend our destination. Yet in all our travels, no matter what road we are on, no matter what the road conditions are we’ll always be on God’s Sacred Highway.

“A good road will be there, and it will be named “God’s Sacred Highway.” It will be for God’s people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road. And no fools can travel on that highway.” (Isaiah 35:8, CEV)

As we make our way to Tennessee tomorrow we’ll not travel on any toll roads yet the same cannot be said for God’s Sacred Highway. While a life spent traveling with God on his Highway is free but before we leave the rough and dangerous roads of this life we need to go through a toll booth where it will be required of us to turn over our lives to Jesus. “Then Jesus said to all the people: If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me.” (Luke 9:23, CEV)

David in Psalms 57 gives us a small snippet of what we can expect on God’s Sacred Highway. “God Most High, have pity on me! Have mercy. I run to you for safety. In the shadow of your wings, I seek protection till danger dies down. I pray to you, my protector. You will send help from heaven and save me, but you will bring trouble on my attackers. You are faithful, and you can be trusted. I live among lions, who gobble down people! They have spears and arrows instead of teeth, and they have sharp swords instead of tongues. May you, my God, be honored above the heavens; may your glory be seen everywhere on earth. (Psalms 57:1-5 CEV)

There are no accidents, no misfortunes, and no breakdowns on God’s Sacred Highway there are only opportunities for God to illustrate his intimacy and power through the Holy Spirit as his touch brings wellness and wholeness.

And finally Isaiah gives us a brief glimpse of our ultimate destination. “The people the Lord has rescued will come back singing as they enter Zion. Happiness will be a crown they will always wear. They will celebrate and shout because all sorrows and worries will be gone far away.” (Isaiah 35:10, CEV)

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
