Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    Lemonade from lemons…

Life can be and often is cruel.

One minute you can be enjoying a sunny fun filled day and minutes later find yourself the victim of a terrible storm and suddenly life turns beauty into ashes. And you find yourself staring into the face of Old Four Head, the dreaded four headed monster of disillusionment, depression, discouragement, and disconnectedness. If that describes you then I have some good news for you – Jesus is in the business of turning ashes back into beauty. “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.” (Isaiah 61:3, NLT)

Chris Tomlin sings in his song Lord, I Need You, “Holiness is Christ in me.” I love and believe that phrase with all my heart. It is Christ in me that provide me with the strength of the “great oaks” of Isaiah 61:3. But the good news does not just end there it gets even better! “But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7, NLT)

The “Holiness of Christ in me” provides each of us with the insight and ability to see to the “heart” of the ugliness of life and see (for me) the “crown of beauty” in a near fatal heart attack and number of hip surgeries.

If you have about 4 minutes might I suggest you watch Chris Tomlin’s video it is a very powerful song and plant a very powerful message into your day.
