Want to argue about politics? Healthcare reform? Taxes? Governments? You've come to the right place!

Try to keep it civil though. The rules still apply here.

But do you know what I count as a great accomplishment then any of that stuff? Being a wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend is more important to me then any of those professional accomplishments are. What is the fun of landing that 'dream job' if there is nobody to share it with?
    Amen to that.

Amen, again. I really need an amen button.

Calling a feminist a feminazi is an insult to the National Socialist German Workers Party (Hi Darth!)

"Feminism began as a simple grievance, mutated into a kind of conspiracy theory (with “patriarchy” filling in for the Jews/Freemasons/Illuminati/Bohemian Grove/reptilian shape-shifters/the fiendish plot of Dr. Fu Manchu/etc.), spent the 1980s in grad school congealing into a ridiculous jargon, and with the booming economy of the 1990s was once again reinvented, this time as a career path."

It's only a matter of time. Kevin D. Williamson is writing almost honestly enough to be the next man banned from National Review. (Joining Coulter, Derb, Steyn, etc.)

            NR banned Steyn?
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Isaiah 3:12

There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

Indeed. I'd be happy to talk about feminism in a thread not tainted by the caricature.

              (Carrikature would still be welcome.)

They (and by they, I mean "Rich Lowry") aren't quite dumb enough to ban him outright, but the quick parting of ways in the Mann-vs.-Steyn globull warming libel case seems to be a way to dodge responsibility for separation-hey, he's an identified public liability, so not our problem, this bears no similarity to what we did to Derb. Also we're afraid of confrontations.

No doubt. Good on him to separate proactively, most likely after the whole Jason Steorts kerfluffle over his article on gays, he could already see the writing on the wall.
