Re: What Are You Currently Reading?
The Joy of π , by David Blatner. It's a small 125 page book on most everything any non mathematician would care to know about the number. While the text is well done, the layout is so over-designed with small boxes, charactered background, and at least 15 different fonts, that it's not always easy to read. Aside from that, I found it a fascinating narrative..

Science: A History (1543-2001) by John Gribbin.
Great overview of the development of modern science, with lots of good information on the many and various characters who were part of it.
I've also just finished "The Book of David", by Beverley Eley. It is a biography of David Helfgott; the eccentric pianist who was the subject of the film "Shine".

DUNE- By Frank Herbert; it's one of the best books I've ever read.
"Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen." Book of Common Prayer, p. 236
