"Same Kind of Different As Me."
Also the complete works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I'm joining the Diogenes Club which is a local black tie Holmes society."Yes, I'm quite concerned about health care issues surrounding leaked radiation from Japan. Now, please pass me my super sized, bacon double cheeseburger, combo meal..."
When I was young I admired clever people. Now that I'm older I admire kind people.~Rabbi Abraham Heschel
My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

Re: What Are You Currently Reading?
Cool! The only literary connection I have that I'm aware of is to Richard Mather and John Cotton, who played significant roles in publishing the first book printed in North America, The Bay Psalm Book.

I just cracked open Cloud & Townsend's Boundaries in Dating: Making Dating Work. I started Cloud's Changes That Heal over xmas holidays but found that I was handling my issues fairly well on my own, plus I've been doing well with my counsellor, so I put it back on the shelf for some other time. And now I'm dating someone, hence the rationale to crack it open.

I'm back in the mode of just reading for school. I have been reading a bit of Chesterton's Orthodoxy though.
I did get my copy of JPH's Trusting the New Testament though and Mike Licona's The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach is on its way....the compass of existence held more than my text-books had revealed, more than I had ever dreamed of. I've just finished reading Towers of Midnight. Currently reading The Illearth War (still) and Warfare in the Anicient Near East to 1600BC.
Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.
My blog . My book. My YouTube channel.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
