To see or not to see
(ah, sort of like Shakespear's thingy, to be etc.)
To see or not to see?
That is the decision
Whether tis nobler in the mind
To walk through life seeing
Things for real; or if tis nobler
To close one's mind to unpleasant
Situations and people and live one's life
Blind to others; But seeing only those
Who are of any importance or worth to oneself
To get involved, or not get involved,
To care or ignore for one's convenience
Alas and then there is the matter of
Things to consider - unpleasant situations...
To see the truth or not see the truth
To accept good or bad with prejudice,
To ignore good or bad with prejudice
Or to seek the truth, ah there's the rub!
For in seeking truth we find ourselves
Wrongness, and who can face that, accept that?
And yet, without seeking the truth now
How may we correct and avoid such wrongness of the future?
To see, or not to see?
To blind one's conscience and spirit
To commit spiritual suicide
That is a question."Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion.
He was manifested in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen by angels,
preached among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory."
I Timothy 3:16

Oh, this is wonderful.
Hope dangles on a string / Like slow spinning redemption / ... / I am captivated / I am Vindicated / I am selfish / I am wrong / I am right / I swear I'm right / I swear I knew it all along / And I am flawed / But I am cleaning up so well / I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself / Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional

Re: To see or not to see
Thank you! I wrote it over twenty years ago, but pulled it up, and it still speaks to me. My, how much we need to grow, eh? At least it still reminds me to try and 'see'.

Got anything else hidden back there?

Not much, here's a little haiku (sp?)
(I may have posted this elsewhere, but here goes anyways. See if you can guess what this is)
Black stars shine around a blue pool of mystery
Silently they ask for yesterday."Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion.
He was manifested in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen by angels,
preached among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory."
