This would be assuming that he is guilty in the absence of any evidence one way or the other. I am strongly with Pman on this.

There is no case to answer, all these accusations are beyond the statute of limitations...

        Criminally, yes.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Is there not a statute for Civil as well? Didn't Allred "demand" Cosby waive it so that she could sue him on behalf of her clients?

            Interesting -- appears so.

It probably varies from state to state, but I think it's 3 years to file a suit in Texas... So, all that's left is the "court of public opinion". This definitely damages Cosby's career...but, how can it be proven either way who's telling the truth? The accusers may all be lying, all telling the truth or some lying and others truthful...but they are ALL getting attention and publicity...but there's not going to be a trial...

Cosby would be a fool to do anything of that sort. How do you go about proving you did not do something 20 or 30 years ago? It looks like a grab for money whether Cosby is innocent or guilty.

                  And, there ya have it.

APNewsBreak: Cosby said he got drugs to give women for sex

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Bill Cosby testified in 2005 that he got Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and "other people," according to documents obtained Monday by The Associated Press.

The AP had gone to court to compel the release of the documents; Cosby's lawyers had objected on the grounds that it would embarrass their client.

The 77-year-old comedian was testifying under oath in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee. He testified he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl.

It really crushed me to see that news. He was my hero growing up, too. His persona on the Cosby Show was that of the family man. And now it looks like he's been drugging women for sex for decades...

How can a man who stands for traditional values in many ways go so wrong? Is it just a thing with stars? Having a stage face and a real face? Or getting caught up in the fame and getting all the 'perks' with it?

All things considered why did he need to drug women in the first place? He was rich, famous and good looking. He shouldn't have had any difficulties attracting women who wanted to sleep with him. Was it that he couldn't accept it when some women refused?

I'm always still in trouble again

Rich, and famous, yes. Good looking? Not seeing that, and I remember some stuff from when he was relatively young.

Rape is about power. I think he, along with other rich and/or politically powerful men, just can't seem to get enough power. But, yeah, it's weird that he would have to use the drugs, like he didn't think he was powerful enough. I don't know - it's just really sad.

                              This tweet is going viral:

                              As a reminder:

                              The Cosby Show: fake
                              Bill Cosby: real

                              Another reminder:

                              Sitcom fatherhood: fake
The real life drugging of women: real

I don't know the psychology of these types of situations, but perhaps we got it all wrong. Instead of Cliff Huxtable being based on Bill Cosby, perhaps it was Bill Cosby who tried to base himself on Cliff Huxtable.
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.--Isaiah 1:17

I don't think that all forms o[f] slavery are inherently immoral.--seer
