You might try finding a good chiropractor. A good one can almost seem like a miracle worker.

Talked with my brother's this morning. He said there really isn't much that can be done at the moment since the problem has abated except for what I'm doing now -- getting plenty of rest.

He also advised taking my wallet out of my back pocket when I drive since it was the drive home that sort set everything in motion.

I'm always still in trouble again

People laugh at that, but it's TRUE... that little bit of extra "difference" can tilt your pelvis or sitting position JUST ENOUGH. I have changed to a slim wallet with the barest of necessities, but on long drives, the first thing I do is put it in the console.

I now wear cargo pants with a thigh pocket for just that reason.

(a tad bit facetious, but I actually had a doctor tell me pretty much that same thing when I had a serious "crick" in my back. I subsequently went to a chiropractor out of desperation, and she made it worse. Out of FURTHER desperation, I went to another guy who was highly recommended by a friend, and that guy "popped my back" in such a way that it was almost like a biblical healing. SERIOUSLY. I could barely walk in there all bent over, but stood straight up when he was finished, with only minor residual pain. By the time I got to my truck, I was totally pain free.)
or there is the fun bit of driving over 100km for a 15 minute visit with the specialist and then another 100km drive to get home (I live in a small town, to see the specialists for my TFCC injury I have to go to a nearby city)

Yup. He advised putting it either a jacket pocket or my hip pocket

I don't carry a wallet, my knife collection wouldn't fit in one anyway.

He liked it just fine - until he got in the truck and accidentally set off the self-destruct.

Why do you insist on putting a self-destruct feature in everything?! I mean, seriously, the bird house, the mail box (that postman still won't deliver on your street), and the pooper scooper (you are soooo lucky I found that before I tried to use it! ) - what is with you?
