      Do not fear, Johnny.

The present day Christian Church has been led astray and it is only when we remove our hands from our ears and open our eyes and seek with a sincere and pure heart that we will find theTruth that makes us free.

His ultimate goal in life was to reach nirvana or non-existence. What kind of life is that in all that you live for is non-existence. If you thought non-existence was better than existence you would have shot yourself this morning. So obviously you see existing as an important role. Which means you are probably in the wrong religion. One more thing is that chistianity is built on the concept of love. And love never fails so it means nothing that buddah died. No one actually cares. But the fact the Jesus died allows us passage into heaven as long as we believe and that is a good enough reason for me to see the important enough reason that Jesus's death was important.

Thanks for taking the time to reading my reply and i cant wait to see what you have to say.
Hi SirKnight and welcome to theology web!

When Buddha talks of non existence he is referring to the self - the same that Paul says must die and Jesus says we must deny. It is the self - our ego personality - that clothes, and in this fallen world imprisons, the spark of Christ within each of us.

For us to be conformed into the image of Christ, the self must become non - existent.

Vivian you're mistating what the New Testament and Christianity teaches about salvation through Jesus Christ.

There is no "spark of Christ" within each of us through natural means. (Note, also no "Christ Conscienceness" with in us waiting to be awakened.)

We are now at home in a world where truth has been displaced by relevance and blurred by preference.

But we must remember that even relevance becomes irrelevant when it is not related to truth.

Jesus proclaimed boldly, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

When we know that truth is a person, when we see that truth has a face and eyes that look into our own, our response is no longer a matter of preference or interpretation. It is no longer a topic needing your formulated argument. It is a defining matter of your attitude toward a Person.

Jesus said, "I am the Truth."

He did not mean these words metaphorically, anymore than we ask life's most plaguing questions metaphorically. Is there meaning in life? Where did I come from? Where am I going? How do we know right from wrong? When you look at the Person of Christ, you find all those questions answered because He is the Truth.

Truth is not a word to manipulate or a point to be argued.

Truth is a Person, the only life perfectly lived, and death selflessly given to set you free.
