I've heard some of his stuff that wasn't very interesting.
However, last night I was introduced to Complainte De La Butte from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack and it's beautiful. So he's not all bad.
I don't know very much French, so I'm hard pressed to figure out what a small hill has to lament about.

He does a beautiful cover of My Funny Valentine.
If you're looking for more Rufus, his most "mainstream" album or as he called it the album that could be sold at WalMart, try Want One (my avatar). Want Two is very personal full of very odd songs and influences. His selftitled album is my music nazi friend's personal favorite.
You could always download a few songs off iTunes and see if you like them. Let me know if you want specific track selections.
Em7, I've found that Rufus is a very girl and gay man kind of singer. Most of my guy friend groan at the mere mention of Rufus.[COLOR="DarkSlateBlue"]/COLOR]
