Do you listen to Christian radio?
...Or Televangelists?
Who do you like---or dislike?

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
Are you referring specifically to talk radio?

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
I have in the past, I do not now. The only real reason is that I haven't been motivated to find out what the Christian radio station in the LA area is.
I remember I started listening to Hank Hanegraaff because many people in my church disliked him, but I never really got a clear answer except something like "he disagrees with my Church" or "he something that I disliked about so-and-so" or something.
While I think the guy came off as a little smug (and even this isn't something that is all the time), it was really hard for me to fault his arguments. I generally agreed with most of what he said, although I have not taken the time to read any of his books.
When I was younger, I enjoyed listening to some of the youth oriented radio ministry, but it fails being relevant to me these days for obvious reasons.
I think what I remember enjoying the most was listening to the preachers from large churches in the vicinity of the Central Valley and hearing different views shot back and forth. I thought most of those guys were good to listen to.
Focus on the Family kind of bugs me, and I never liked Point of View either.Dropping a few Eschatology Bombs, or "Let's think before we endorse another way."

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
I like Grace to You (John MacArthur), Desiring God (John Piper), Insight for Living (Churck Swindoll), In Touch (Charles Stanley), Love Worth Finding (Adrian Rogers), Renewing Your Mind (R.C. Sproul), and Truths That Transform (D. James Kennedy).
Most of the time I just listen to these in the car if I have the chance. The station that broadcasts these programmes is based out of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and the signal doesn't reach the entire Greater Tulsa area, and becomes intermittent as I drive further east. For some reason, I can't tune my clock radio at home to the station.

i listen to Hank Hanagraff, Greg Koukl (Stand to Reason) and Steve Gregg (Nerrow Path) over the internet.
i very rarely listen to traditional radio, and is only when i'm driving and not in a mood to listen to one of my CDs. And i don't watch Christian TV unless i want to see what heresy is the new fad

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
So Christians must conceal their humanity from one another? That's just not healthy and displays an alarming lack of understanding of how the mind and body interact.

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
Talk radio and sermons, almost never. I used to enjoy J Vernon McGee but he's not on anything locally. Locally it's mostly reich-wingers pushing a social agenda against others and is hardly edifying or loving.
Though when I travel (which is most weekends) I occasionally scan the dial for stuff from the area I am going through.
But for the most part I listen to music cds or Scripture readings."A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., April 4, 1967
"....we are all his children" St. Paul, Acts 17:28

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
Oops forgot a whole section.
I can't tell you the last time I listened to any radio at home, though sometimes I tune in to PCM radio over the Internet.
And TV? Yeah, like some else said, tune in occasionally for the latest fad or heresy, or check out TBN to see if Jan Crouch's hair has gotten any bigger or changed colors again.
I'll watch a Gaither program though and on the rare occasions I am home on Sunday I can watch Bobby Jones Gospel on BET.
Ages ago when I was a young Christian I would regularly watch Copeland or Fred Price but as I matured in Christ I realized that they were often going off the theological deep end and when Fred said that the only reason Christians aren't rich (in money) is because of their lack of faith---well......"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."
