Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
Call me old fashioned. I love to hear those old recordings of Oliver B. Greene on The Gospel Hour. Except when he delves into prophecy.
But Harold Camping on Family Stations is definitely out of the question. He should have resigned the ministry when Jesus didn't return on the date he calculated.

Via the internet, I mainly listen to...

Renewing Your Mind w/R. C. Sproul: http://www.ligonier.org/radio/archive.php
Let My People Think w/Ravi Zacharias: http://resources.christianity.com/rz...oot=9jhena3b71

Thru the Bible w/J. Vernon McGeee: http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/t...e/Archives.asp
Occasionally I might listen to...
The Dividing Line w/James White http://www.straitgate.com/aom/
Albert Mohler: http://www.albertmohler.com/radio.html
Institute For Creation Research Radio: http://www.icr.org/radio/
Reasons to Believe w/Hugh Ross: http://www.reasons.org/resources/mul...dex.shtml?main
As far as local Christian radio is concerned, I might listen to one of three stations every now and then when I drive my car, but I find myself disatisfied with them to the point I turn to a secular music station playing "classic" rock n' roll.
I tend to avoid dens of theives...err....I mean televangelists like a plague. If I happen to hear one while at my parents house, I may find myself making fun of their presentation. To be fair, every now and then TBN may broadcast something I wouldn't mind watching, but I don't care to wait through the heresies the spiritual junkfood and the begging, just to get to the good stuff.Romans 1:20 "Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." - NKJV

used to listen to Focus on the Family and Jay Seculo, but Focus is kind of repeating itself now and Jay's too intense or something.

I love the Bible, I take it pretty seriously, and one way I love it is I love to talk about it, argue about it, interact with someone who brings to my attention aspects I've not noticed before. I'm devout, but most my devout friends find discussing and debating the Bible to be the opposite of taking it seriously, because it is an activity more around the joy of the text than faithfulness.
Hank can't hear me argue back at him.
and I don't give him money.
I've heard some criticisms of him lately.

That makes sense then. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that much since I've heard Mormons call in on his show when he was promoting One Nation Under Gods.

If that particular show were advertised earlier in the day, after something like _Focus on the Family_, some mormons may have tuned in who were not regular listeners of the show.

I've been musing the past couple days how to answer this, realizing that this year I catch his show very sporadically so it would be very irresponsible of me to give any kind of review. That said, what has always attracted me to his show is the calm sensibleness of "the art and science of Biblical interpretation," recognizing genres and context. I always love exegesis that cross-reference well rather than abuse one text against another. What does he do wrong with Mormons (or maybe Mormonism) that he normally does well in other areas?
On Mormonism, I think I've only heard one caller answered and I once read some of his pamphlets on the website; on merely that I'd say we're off the topic of the Bible and working from a different set of assumptions that are difficult to address in a short radio call. He's not working within a text when he's discussing Mormonism.Sheer plod makes plough down sillion

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
For the old good days sake i started to watch Kenneth Copeland from webcast sometimes

I was impressed about his teachings when i was young and fundy christian, but i still like his preaching style. Now, when looking at those teachings with a bit mature eyes, i tend to see his word of faith principles helpful in autosuggestion. The big difference is: while word of faith people honestly believe that they can put God into action by their confession, i see it now more as psychological stuff. When i'm sick, i see nothing wrong to tell my body that it is healed (i have read even atheist's confession how autosuggestion helped completely to heal his badly wounded body - he was in WWII). I don't share the idea that all people shall be healed, or rich, but i share the principles of spoken word. Prayer, aspirin, autosuggestion - whatever it takes - if i'm sick i use them all
Infrequently i like to hear some black charismatic preachers, or to watch how some greedy prosperity theologian spends 5-10 minutes for begging some additional cash. It's so funny (but sad considering that MANY sincere christians are looking this BS) how some of them pray openly that God would say into viewers heart wheter, or not they should become as (money) partners. And then after this prayer they start openly manipulate their viewers: "What are you waiting for? Stand from your couch and call and become partner!". But usually after this entertaining experience i find such people so disgusting, that i prolly never spend 5 minutes of my life to watch them again.
And then there are some personal prophets out there. Like Prophet Jordan (i think i recall it right) from Streamingfaith network, who sends you your personal prophecy for free. But if you want some special prophecy you need to pay for it. I needed to sign-up to this site to watch their show, and they started to send me their spam to Hotmail (my spam-account). Well, after telling harshly what i think about this so called prophet and demanding them to stop their spam - surprise, surprise - they did not send any mail to me again
But overally i don't spend much time on watching christian TV, or listening Christian radio (usually i don't listen radio at all, exept some web music radios).

In Australia, I like to listen to "Encounter" on Radio National in the ABC.
I'm cheating here, because this is not "Christian" radio; but a program that looks at religion and life more generally. There is a lot of Christian input, but the overall focus is wider, and it often transcends the divisions between religions.
For example, a while ago I heard a most interesting program on roadside memorials. Here in Australia there are many small roadside cairns set up at where there has be a death on the roads. They often have flowers, and perhaps a cross, or other mementos. It seems to be a very spontaneous personal expression of a deep impluse which is religious in a sense, but not directly linked to any particular religion. The expression will be coloured by the grieving friends or relatives own religious perspective, of course.
I've also been on this program myself some years ago, when there was a session on "Spirituality of Atheism". The program attempted to look into how those who don't believe in God might express or react to anything that could be called a "spiritual" dimension to life, and I was one of five people interviewed in the program.

Re: Do you listen to Christian radio?
I occasionally listen to a local orthodox broadcast done by a friend of mine. I used to listen to a broadcast that was just scripture reading. I think it might have been through the bible, or something to that effect. When I was much younger, I listened to Hank H., but grew weary of what I saw as arrogance.
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God....
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
