As you have noticed (and we agree), this website is pretty awesome. Why you would choose to not be a member or logged in is baffling to both of us. The process is simple and costs you nothing, unless you really feel the urge to pay then we will not deny you that request. Back on point, once you become a member you will wonder why you put up with this notice all this time and ask yourself, "What was I thinking?" Being a tWebber is too awesome to pass up.
So stop playing ninja trying to act all stealth and lurking about (we see you), do you really want to be seen as a "lurker". Its like you are peeking in people's windows while they undress. How naughty of you. Does your mom know what you are doing right now? She agrees you should just register or login already. Good job.
Ok, here's a question for our Dispensationalist friends.
The church is a parenthesis in God's prophetic plan, brought in because of the sudden and unexpected rejection of the Kngdom offer by the Jews.
Yet the Gospel upon which the Church is built is a mystery revealed, since the church was apparently never prophesied.
So, if the Jews hadn't rejected the Kingdom (which all but Calvinistic dispies must accept as a possibility), then when would the mystery have been revealed?

Succinct, and just what I thought you would say. So what is the point of the mystery that is kept secret since the world began if it remains a mystery?

That would be on par to asking what if the world repent and God didn't bring about the flood, what then? We don't know...why cause it didn't happen that way. Does it really matter, no. It is now hypothetical and not reality.

The fact of the flood, and the likelihood of the whole world repenting are pretty basic and in line with the rest of scripture: repent, and I won't punish you; whether the world did or not is within the kind of limits any Arminian or OVT could take in their stride, and also in line with God's character and revelation.
The fact of a mystery that has been revealed, but which might not have been revealed is of a different order. The idea of the church as a parenthesis not previously witnessed to in the OT is one thing, and I will concede that for the present moment; but to say it is a mystery kept secret since the world began points to the fact that the church and all it stands for was in the mind, counsel, and intent of God, and that to bring it to pass:
This speaks of something predicted, and promulgated by God, which he had already thought out and had even borne witness to in the scriptures (which ends my concession about the parenthetical nature of the church mentioned above).
/ot hah, have a covenantal christian a mod in dispie, hmm!!
And your opinion is stupid. Still taking that quote out of context, I see, or is it that you don't even know that there is such a thing as context? It appears to me that the latter is the more likely...
