You have missed out on some great stuff then. If you have a Wii, or Wii U, or even a 3DS, then I suggest looking at some of their Virtual Console titles.

I've beat Mario and Mario 3 countless times. I grew up with them (showing my age) I also beat Donkey Kong (SNES) I couldn't figure out Mario World. I didn't do much beyond that because we didn't own any gaming systems beyond the SNES. When I was older my ex husband owned a Wii and got a donkey Kong for that. Since he had such poor timing/hand eye issues I'd frequently watch the game, and he wasn't able to make it through certain stages, so instead of his contsantly resetting the game because he was mad, I took the game controller and got Donkey through the patterned parts that required careful timing.

I'm still ashamed that I never beat Mario 2. I beat all the others too. Although for Super Mario World I never got the 100% thing done. If I ever get a chance I might try.

Yeah, the only thing I knew in all that was about the bad games you mentioned(seriously, E.T.[1], and a porn game ), and about the Wrecking Crew hammer theme. I knew about the latter because it's explicitly mentioned on the new Smash Bros. game during certain loading screens.

1.Love the movie, hate the game.

It is hard, and I never had the manual. I did get to like the last, or next to last level, but I couldn't figure out how to beat it. It was ages ago though. I just wish I had a way to use my old NES cartridges. I have a bunch of old cool games, but my NES is rather, unreliable, at this point. The cartridges would probably work fine since I can simply clean them. I may have bought most of them used, but the worked great, and I took good care of them.

Don't know why, but it seems the recording is a bit echoey...besides that it's pretty good.

If you ever get the chance; I'll let you know where the secret levels are at.

I found a few on my own. A long time ago I had also looked at some of the old guides. There is this one thing I saw that is supposed to be able to play Sega Genesis, NES, and SNES games all on one console. I'm thinking I would like to get that in the future.

So you got all the Star Land specials and even the 'top secret' area?

That's Super Mario World, and I said earlier I didn't.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is the one where you pluck the vegetables out of the ground and throw them at other monsters.

That is the game that was made because the actual Super Mario 2 was thought to be too hard. If you want help with Mario World, I'll tell you where the secret areas are at and how to get to them. After all, I did end up being the first one of the 3 of us to beat the game.

That's part of the reason. IIRC Nintendo had bought out the company that made the Japanese version of the game, and wanted to be able to make some money off of it in the US.

Yeah, I have the Lost Coins on one of my Cartridges, but I can't play any of them right now.

If I could beat the first Mario at age 3, I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to beat the Lost Coins.
