Thank God Bush was Elected
With the Democrats and Liberals (most of them, I am a Liberal) taking a Pro Death stand, I am soooo glad Bush was elected. I almost voted for Gore. Here is what President and Governor Bush had to say:
"In cases like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life," President Bush said in a statement after signing the bill. Gov. Bush, praised the actions of Congress. "We in government have a duty to protect the weak, disabled and vulnerable," he said in a statement Monday. "I appreciate the efforts of state and federal lawmakers on both sides of the aisle who have taken this duty to heart."“Look around you, Gabrielle. Lush prairie. And those bushes with orange berries? See them, on those dunes? Sea Buckthorn. It grows wild here, and the oil works wonders on horses.”

Re: Thank God Bush was Elected
God, why are you punishing us with a President who lies to his people, uses your Holy Name for the advancement of those lies, isolates our nation by making our allies into enemies, and creating a huge deficit that will be a burden on our children?
We can all invoke the name of God; even Osama did. Please, leave God out of this... He had nothing to do with Bush's reelection. It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong.

When did Bush lie?
Personally, I'm not too fond of the ol' Shrub, but anything is better than the Democrazis."Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

And Europeans have turned into weasels after WW2(I come from there so I have every right to judge my home continent). We have most of them(and the US as well) to thank for letting the Soviets turn half of the best continent on this planet into Hell on Earth.

Re: Thank God Bush was Elected
Exactly which Europeans are you referring to? The Poles, who have sent soldiers to Iraq along with Spain? Or France, where over 70% of the population was against the Iraqi war which led to Chirac following the desires of those who elected him?

Re: Thank God Bush was Elected
No, Maiku's not, he's referring to the President who lied about the WMDs, the nuclear weapons in Africa, etc. Those lies resulted in lots of dead American soldiers, Clinton's lies resulted in a stained blue dress. Slight difference.

He didn't lie about either WMD"s or "nuclear weapons in Africa". I realize you want to believe that, but no matter how much you wish it was so, it isn't.

Re: Thank God Bush was Elected
It is Clinton who is and will be known as the lying president - that is his legacy alone.

Re: Thank God Bush was Elected
West Europeans(along with a good chunk of America throughout the last 100 years). Spain is full of sissies too. If somebody bombed one of my nation's subway, I'd be hunting them down like the dogs that they are, not show them that I bow to their will and get my soldiers out at their convenience. I'm not blaming Chirac or other leaders, because like you said, it's the population's wish. And that's exactly who I'm blaming: the population. The same population who refused to interfere when Hitler sacked nations that didn't belong to him leading to a huge ammount of deaths later on. The same population who refused to push back the Russians who tried to impose their idiotic system on half their continent. The exact same population who now whines about Bush having the guts to do what should have been done a long time ago: annihilate any sign of dictatorship. Kudos to half of America who finally did what their own cowardly ancestors and their European counterparts didn't.
