      Solly,

Taking away the guns masks the problem, it doesn't fix it.

      Would you rather:

A: Spend a night in a locked room full of loaded pistols with a 15 year old boy who is well adjusted, consciencious, and kind

      OR

B: Spend a night in a locked room with a single butter knife and a 15 year old sociopath who thinks he is a vampire?

Our society has taken G_d out of the schools, put away the paddles, and turned it's back on teaching responsibility and decency -- and then, then when the whole thing starts to fall apart they begin to blame guns.

I'm on this topic not because I like guns -- I hate the things -- instead, I'm on this topic because if we keep raising kids the way we are raising them it won't matter what we take away from them we'll still end up with these sorts of tragedies.

And we've had only one major incident since then (I think that was with a machete, not a gun, anyway). Of course in the UK we have the occassional gun related murder, and gun crime is on the increase, but nowhere near the level of America. But at least our government is willing to take measures to curb gun violence.
And because nobody's afraid of civvies defending themselves anymore, violent crime as a whole has skyrocketed. Bats, knives, heck, even fists are now enslaving a population that I'll have to say has turned into cash cows for criminals. Of course they're not going to kill the people who can always be depended on to give them money to go away.

So triple the violent crime and increasing gun crime is the price to pay for gun banning. Whoop-dee-frickin-doo.
In reaction to Richwine Affair, all right-thinking people are quick to proclaim that they don’t believe in a genetic basis for IQ. They’re much less quick to explain – with any sort of precision – what they actually do believe in. At best, we’re treated to some hand-waving paired with the phrase “social construct.”.

      Good job, Gerbil!
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

      Matthew 8:26-27

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
