Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
When you go… When you go… When you walk…

There is no doubt in my mind that life is difficult in fact there are times when life takes us to the edge of impossibility. But as we teeter at the edge of impossibility if we quiet ourselves down we can hear a voice calling to us, it’s not a loud voice nor is it a faint voice yet it is a voice that echoes deep in our heart encouraging us with words of promise. “…Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:1–2, NLT)

“When you go… I will be with you.”
“When you go… you will not drown.”
“When you walk… the flames will not consume you.”

I don’t know about you but personally I don’t want to find myself in deep waters, I don’t want to go through rivers of difficulty, I don’t want to walk through the fires of oppression. But guess what? I have, I am, and I will yet! There are times when things are not going well for me like most people one of the first questions I ask is, “Why me, doesn’t my relationship with Jesus mean he will bless me during times like this. Isn’t the Holy Spirit supposed to rescue me?”

I know it’s a dumb question and immediately I say a retraction but it lingers until either the Holy Spirit or my memory (probably both) remind me that God did not spare Jesus from going through deep waters, from going through rivers of difficulty, from walking through fires of oppression. Then a thought fires off in my heart both humbling me and encouraging me at the same time, “What makes you any different than Jesus?” It is then because the LORD is with me through deep waters, through raging rivers, through life’s fire storms that I will not drown or be consumed.

And the good news is what God is doing to and for me he also doing to and for you. Life may be difficult and challenging grounds for us but for God our Life is his “Blessing Grounds.”

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

    Amen Gary!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
