It's A Boy!
And a girl, and a boy . . . and a boy . . .
I lost count.
Anywho, Spring has brought it's annual lamb crop to the Trout family farm, we have a bunch of these little dudes running around the landscape.

That one is a cutey! What colour will it be when it is bigger?
My sister spins her own yarn, so I take more interest in sheep than I used to.....

Are all the lambs you have born all mottled like that?

Re: It's A Boy!
Most are born completely black and then make the transition to black face, it's pretty cool.

For a second I was afraid you might be one of my bosses (in real life).

Re: It's A Boy!
That's a cutie lamb. They look like our sheep. What breed are they?
We're still bottle feeding two lambs, though cutting back.(one was born to a sheep ewe that doesn't produce milk, and the other was one of triplets, and we bottle fed it to give her a break so she only had two to feed.)
That Bible verse 'My sheep know my voice' has come alive to me through bottle feeding the lambs. If they hear me down by the barn, they start to baa and make a fuss cause they know my voice and think it's time to be fed."Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion.

believed on in the world,
taken up in glory."

Re: It's A Boy!
I think we have a few pure pred like that, and the rest are mixed. We have less than a dozen sheep-lambs, though. Just hobby farm.
Here's a link that has lots of links to do with sheep/ wool, etc.
