Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

    2 + 2 = 13 in Q/Z too.

      PS: 2 + 2 = 5, for sufficiently large values of 2.

      No one thought otherwise.

Who was twisting your arm to post? Seriously, this is the dumbest objection - if you (general) don't want to discuss the topic, just ignore the thread. Why do so many of you feel the need to jump in and play some weird form of gotcha? So what if it's going somewhere you don't agree with - most of your threads are gonna have the same effect on someone. Either take it on or ignore it but stop the whining, it's silly.

Call me jaundiced, but I just can't see this one measuring up.
              1/3 = .333...
              .333... + .333... + .333... = .999...
              1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1

              Therefore .999... = 1

Nah, they just took me off the curve.

Nobody ever tried to give me a wedgie, but a kid did try to take my milk money from me once.

                    Just once.

No, no, there's no such thing as a mathematician that can screw in a light bulb. They're imaginary.

You can't divide by zero, so it is not equal to aleph zero.
