blarg. paintbrush pixelates like a fiend. if that's the look you're going for, it's fine, but IMO Irfanview is better (BTW, i forgot to mention that Irfanview has a "Keep Aspect Ratio" option, which keeps the image rightfully scaled).

actually, until i switched to Linux, i used to use both Paintbrush and Irfanview, as there are somethings you can do with one you can't with the other, and thus the complement each other very well.
